The Basics of Surfing?

Im 14 years old and I found my calling; surfing! Ive played dozens of sports and been successful in Soccer, Swimming, Skiing (snow and water), and Tennis! But I just got back from a trip that led me to try surfing, I fell in love with the sport. My dad was amazed at what I could do the first time i got on a board, i just watched the pros and copied them. I want to surf for the rest of my life but i live no where near any surf spots ): and i am familiar with the ocean, the waves, the currents, the Rip, and the swells, so don't worry ive been on a boat since i was six months old. Anyways I could use some pointers in the sport, like do you have to wear a wet suit? If a 5'4" 110 pound girl was a beginner, what surfboard would you recommend? What should i do to get into shape to make surfing easier i .e. running, weights, etc.? What is (in your opinion) the best online surf retailor? And if you have any more pointers that would be great! Get an acoustic. The guy who said that electric players are great at acoustic is completely wrong. Electric is much easier, so if you learn on an acoustic, then you'll have much stronger fingers to play an electric, and you'll have your basic chords down already. And he's right, girls love acoustic guitars. ;)

I have a question about diet for gastroparesis?

I was just diagnosed with gastroparesis. I am not diabetic. My doctor said to eat small meals and avoid greasy and spicy foods. Online I'm seeing that I should avoid fat, fiber, and foods that are hard to chew as well as have small meals. Can any one that works with diet give me any tips about what I can and cannot have? I am not going to manage it with medication because Reglan has bad side effects. I really love spicy foods and I also really love green beans (which are high in fiber). Any ideas?

My nose stud is sinking?? Is it infected?

You need to go back to wherever you got your nose pierced and ask them what is wrong with it. I had a 18G nose stud and it was always against my nose, but that's how they are supposed to be. I now have a 16G nose ring. I think your best bet is to go back to the professional and tell them what you think is going on.

Is my tattoo healed enough to do outside activities?

My tattoo was done about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and has scabbed up and everything..peeled...and is dark and vibrant. If done the washing and scent free lotion part everyday as told by my artist. Currently it has a shiny and semi wrinkly look. Im going to Ocean City friday and I really want to be able to go swimming and jet skiing as long as my tattoo doesnt hinder those future to do list things. If so, if i were to get wet doing those things do i need to clean my tattoo of salt, etc. Hopefully im O.K to do those things considering my tattoo healed very quickly and i barely had an itching. Now on the other hand, if im not O.K to do those activities is there some way i can protect my tattoo if doing those water sports? Thanks guys.

Anybody who can get a killstreak in black ops <---------------?

so im mobile and fairly aggressive but for some reason i find it sooo hard to get a killstreak even a UAV can be quite uncommon yet sometimes i get 7-8 maybe 9 killstreaks. so i bought a chopper gunner after much success with the (now suppressed) AUG. but for some reason i always get kiled!!!! nobody tell me to watch my back, lay low for a sec... i move around a bunch but i still do slap down the occasional motion sensor. anybody have tips to getting these killstreaks? also should i have ghost for my aug to make it a complete stealth cl (its supressed i think i said) and it may prevent me from getting killed alot and keep the element of suprisee. orr should i have hardline if i do i could maybe get 8 kills (i got a bunch of 7 streaks the last 9-10 or so games why not 8) so pleease give me tips i want to get a chopper by the end of vacation please a helpful answer will get easy points thanks if you answer :)

I have been friend with this girl for a few years. We used to hang out and made out sometimes, we ended up making out all the time. At first she was just a game or an adventure, nothing serious, she was beautiful but I always thought she was not the kind of girl I would be interested for something serious. She shared with me her dreams and ambitions in life, her desire to study and I always encouraged her to do so, I always tried to help her in everything, the reason why I decided I wouldnt be with her, was because she had a boyfriend who they used to break but they were back all the time, once when they were not together she said that was a permanent break up, so she said she wanted to move to another state so she could start studying and I offered to move with her and help her there, she was very excited and we even started to make plans for that new place, suddenly she started talking to an ex bf who lived in that place and she said she wanted to be with him, I didnt oppose and said ok whatever makes you happy, later she abandoned that idea and stayed here, by that time we continued dating and she asked me if I have feelings for her because she said that I was very supportive and I was always there when she needed something and treating her like a queen, but I knew she didnt have her ideas clear and told her that I care much about her but that I didnt have feelings towards her (I lied). Then we continued as friends and we decided to move in together to a new house, we had separate rooms but we spent time together a lot, she was back with her first boyfriend who she always break with, he always treated her like crap and never respected her in any way, he even ttried to kiil her once. Once I was very drunk and she approached to me in my room and started talking me very sweet and asked me If I had feelings for her. I was drunk and didnt lie, I said yes that I loved her. Days ped and no problems, then i remembered and told her that she shouldnt ask me that when i m drunk. Everything was apparently good, we continued having a great time, she broke with that guy again. One day we went to have fun and we both got drunk, she has an addiction to smoke weed, i dont smoke and always tried to keep her away from drugs including weed and cocaine she sometimes does. That day we got drunk, she got wasted and started yelling at people, I standed for her and apologized so she wont be in trouble, then we were leaving back home and she punched me several times, I didnt do anything, I just made sure she went home safe, she went to some of her friends who live nearby and I left so no more problems would happen, my face was very bad and my friends told me to call the cops I didnt cos didnt want to put ehr in trouble. After an hour i went back home and saw her walking in the street crying I pulled over and offered a ride, she apologized and we went home together, everything was fine and inside she started throwing things in her room and said she was going to hurt herself, I entered to avoid she hurts herelf, I had to use some force to hold her from her arms and shoulder until she calmed down, during that incident she felt cos was drunk and when helping her to stand up she hit her eye, after that she apologized to me and everything was fine, i said to her i wasnt mad. Next day she went to the doctor to see her eye, also she had a limp from skiing but doctor thought someone beated her up and they called the police, they arrested me thinking i hurted he, i never did, I always tretaed her like a queee, her friends and family hates me now. I spent few days in jail until I got charges dismissed, I didnt hate her at all, I tried to talk to her again, only worked throu emails, she later got a problem with the law for other thing, I offered my support and we started talking again. During this time after our incident, she went back with her ex boyfriend who attacked her and tried to beat her *** when she was living with me, I told her I will always care about her cos she is special for me, I still want to help her out of the drugs and encourage her to study, during this 2 months she lived w her psycho ex bf she got pregnant, when she told him he left her and got ballistic. We are seeing more often now and I still care about her, I dont wanna see her suffering, I m willing to offer her my support and ask her that I want to be with her and help her in everything she may need cos I lvoe her. Is this a good idea or what do u think is the best to do?

My Sister's Such a Freaking Bytch??

My sister is getting really annoying..we share rooms and she keeps it dirty as heck!!! Ill tell her "please clean the room, its really dirty.." Which is easier? Snowboarding or skiing?

I'm going to the snow in the next few weeks on a week long school excursion it holds every year. They're giving us the option to either ski or snowboard. But I've never been to the snow before and thus, I've never done either. So for a beginner, which is easier? I will say right now that I don't have the best balance but I have read a few things that snowboarding, while very hard on the first day or two, is a lot easier to pick up then skiing. Is this true?

Tax lien on credit report isn't mine, its my dads.?

I Did a credit report today and found 3 tax liens that aren't mine but actually my dads. He didn't pay his property tax on his Jet Ski for three years and as a result had tax liens placed on them but they were put on my credit. We do share the same name him being the Jr. and me being the 3rd. I filed a dispute with transunion ( because transunion is the only agency reporting it) but im afraid its not going to work. What should I do? Do I have to go to the county recorder and dispute it there? I am mad because I am looking at getting a new car and having 3 tax liens on my credit certainly doesn't help. Tomorrow what can I do in place of my regular exercise routine?

I've been high intensity exercising for almost 3 months. Now, I just got a ski machine less than 2 weeks ago for 5$ at a yard sale that keeps breaking down more and more the more I use it. >_> NOT the point though. Okay, I started using it for 30 mins. Now I've been using it 40 minutes yesterday and the day before. Yesterday I noticed getting some bone pain in area above my .(That flat surfaced area cant think of the name right now.) Also in my upper leg bones. When I walk it is pretty painful. Today I pushed through for 20 mins and couldn't use the ski machine anymore, so I went outside and switched from walking, running, and sprinting every 20 seconds for 10 minutes. So I'm wondering what I should do. I know I exercise really hard every time I do because I'm starving like I haven't eaten in awhile. I'm wondering what I should do in tomorrow's case. Just go out for a simple walk and run? Skip tomorrow? Or what? I hate skipping days, I like to go everyday, but I think my pain will only get worse.

How to begin jogging?

I just started power walking again after 3 years of not doing it.I've been power walking now for 1 month for 1 hour. I want to start jogging. So i decided to jog for 1-2 min and walk i do this 3 times finish the rest of my work out with power walk . I'm trying to build up my endurance so i can do a full 20 min-30min jog in 2-3 weeks. I am wondering if this is a good way to do it? do u have better tips advice ?Any suggestions i would appreciate it. Im doing this cause i want to be in shape again and i would like to lose my weight so far its working .

Why am I gaining weight?

I have gymnastics 3 hours a day, 4 times a week, as I've had for the last 3 years. The only difference is we've started doing yoga one saturday a month and we stepped up our conditioning slightly with the approach of nationals and such. Because of this, I've started eating a little more, key word LITTLE, and it's not always the healthiest foods, but I've never been the healthiest eater, per se. I've ALWAYS stayed lean and toned, though. Recently, I've noticed my stomach getting a little softer and my thighs getting less toned, and even my face filling out a bit. Also, I'm about 4 pounds heavier. I don't weigh myself often, but every few weeks or so. I don't understand why I'm gaining weight now, when I've just started training harder..Could it be that little bit of extra food? Orr?

Could I be pregnant...?

I lost my virginity earlier this month and on my second time, my boyfriend put the condom on the wrong way round, then realised, thought nothing of it and put it on the right way. He didn't tell me until after , and now I'm worried that some sperm could've entered me from the outside of the condom? For example: After going to take a shower and coming back in a robe, should the other roomate leave the room, look away, pretend to be really occupied? When should the room door be closed? Is one day of eating worse then my normal clean diet effect me?

I'm an athlete i'm 5'2 around 104 pounds and i work out alot. I eat a very clean natural diet and basically only Stick ot natural foods.. butsometimess i get bad cravings.. so every sunday i try to eat somthing i love so i dont feel deprived but im scared it will ruin my progress.. I do plyomeyrics and i to spint intervals and weight train... i normally dont eat JUNK FOOD(sugary things) on sunday but i eat stuff i normally wouldnt on my clean diet like tricuits with natural cheese over them(i love it haha it's not too bad..) or i dip my triscuits in jelly...or ill add some extra oatmeal or ill add peanut er toast to my oatmeal breakfest because i dont get to eat it alot.. orr eat more fruit or peanut er then normal. will this affect me? i dont tend to OVERREAT on these days to where im sick to my stomach,, somtimes i get a little too full but ya know lol...i might go over my normal days calories a little but i dont binge out..

How to get rid of flesh colored acne?!?!?

I've had moderate acne for a few years now, and what really irritates me the most are these flesh colored bumps(under the skin acne?). I use and exfoloating mask(Clear Pores), and they just haven't gone away so I try poping them with q-tips or the sides of my fingers....but they just reappear!!! I also tried looking up for an idea online to get rid of them and all I found was people trying to sell products, which I don't want to waste my money on. I got my belly on pierced 4 days ago, and it's still really sore. Is this normal? The piercer told me to use rubbing alcohol with q-tip on my barbells to clean it, and then use a little Neosporin. Toddler's Foreskin is red?

My parents weren't as kind as my wife and I when our son was born so I have no experience with these issues, however from time to time it looks kinda red and irritated at the tip. What can I do for him about this? He takes a bath or shower ever other day at least, usually every day, and it doesn't retract past the head yet but we usually give it a little stretch over the head in the bath which is what his ped recomended until it clears the head. I have read that this is normal and it means the foreskin is protecting the head, but it is somewhat concerning to see. Any thoughts on this, I think we may bring him in to his doctor monday morning about it, but in the meantime?

Wakeboard pylons or of the sort?

My father has a celebrity and it has the ski tow hook on the back of our boat but it is low. we recently started wakeboarding, but it being low was never a problem during skiing but for wakeboarding when we try to get air it pulls us down and it is difficult. Why does my car amp go in protect mode?

I have a 200 watt amp in my car, and everything worked fine. Then I upgraded to a 1000 watt amp, and it goes in protect mode only when I connect the RCA cables to it. Then I disconnected the RCA cables and the amp turns on. When I get the RCA cable and put the tip of it into the line input I can hear sound, but when I plug the RCA cables in all the way the amp goes back in protect mode. What could be the problem... Really bad period cramp!!?

Well I have never had my period but I'm developed enough to have it and I'm 13. About 3 weeks ago I spotted for 5 days. Then 6 days ago I started spotting again for 5 more days. I had minor cramps and barely any spotting either time but I had blood specks this size: "-" and 2 on the fourth day of spotting that were this size: "O". Then I had no spotting today. However, I had a pretty painful cramp near my right hip that was bugging me for a few hours in school. I still had no spotting though Orr period. Since I was just spotting and then I had that big cramp, should I get a period soon? When should I get it? This week? Next week? Next month? F-250 Gas or Diesel Truck?

I am looking into getting a Used F-250/F-350 lifted Truck. I am getting it more for want than need, I like these trucks alot and have always wanted a lifted jacked up truck. I won't be doing a lot of towing, I have jet skis but rarely will need to tow them. I don't really plan on needing to tow stuff all too often. Help??? Shooting a Wedding tomorrow!?

I need some advice and help. I don't have a professional high dollar camera but I have a good working camera (a Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS) the wedding I am shooting is a very small non-fancy wedding for a friend and I am doing this for free. I am wanting to make sure I get every lil shot for them and make this day special! But I am really nervous because this is my first wedding shoot...So I need as much advice as possible! I'm there every summer with the group of athletes that I coach, for early season training (1st week in august). There is limited public skiing offered on the glacier, but you may be a bit disappointed. Skiing is only allowed from noon to 3 pm, and much of the glacier is off limits, as training lanes for various race teams take up a lot of the terrain.

Knee Popping when Standing?

I recently starting working at a clothing store where I have to stand on my feet for about 6 hours a day. I noticed my right knee started hurting, and now it pops and hurts whenever I move it after standing on it for only about an hour or so. Because of my job, I am required to wear clothing from the store and tennis shoes are not allowed in my dress code so wearing shoes with better support isn't much of an option. About 8 years ago I injured this knee in a skiing accident but I never had any problems with it before so I don't know if this is related. Is there any way I can prevent my knee from popping or keep it from hurting so much? Do you think a knee brace would help? thanks!

I just started power walking again after 3 years of not doing it.I've been power walking now for 1 month for 1 hour. I want to start jogging. She is a 9wk old Italian greyhound.. I fed my sheltie raw from 8 weeks and he crunched bones like a maniac from day one. I just started running but my left knee hurts and my right hip does too afterward. What should I do about it?

I hurt my knee a few years ago skiing but it was nothing serious. It does tend to give out sometimes and I get pain sometimes but I'm wondering if I should get a brace or something before I run again. I also think the pain in my right hip might be from me compromising my gait to keep weight off the left knee. I just don't want to run on it to the point where I do some kind of damage. Am I overreacting?

Why am i so insecure when i have ?

Expierience more with makeup, it really does help looks. I know I can't live without it :) Try Aveeno or Jergans lotion, they work well. Jergans tanning lotion will probably make your skintone more even because it'll make you look darker all over. How you dress and your personality can significantly change how you feel about yourself. Wear things that you feel y in and that fit you well. As you know, guys find confidence y. I promise you that he will enjoy having sex with you if you act more confident than you are. I've struggled with insecurities, and I still wish I could change certain thigns about myself. But looking back a couple years where I could have had incredible moments, I regret it so much. You will wish that you allowed yourself to let loose and live. Life really is short, and you don't want to hold back from living because of how you feel about yourself. It'll take time, but you'll get there. Remember that he loves you, and will accept you. Is 2700 a good deal for a 2000 Polaris 785 pro?

I don't really know much about jet skis but the guy wants 2700 for it. It's triple piped and stock otherwise I guess a lot of people used these as race skis has 140hp. What are Shin "Splints"/"Splits" and what are some symptoms i should watch for?

A few years ago my first Steady job was security in which i walked a lot on concrete for 8-10 hours daily. after a while i invested in some very good police style duty boots which mitigated that for a time. the best way to surmise the way my shins felt is the feeling you get after your first skiing lesson. the front of the shin hurts a small amount but if you think of it as a hexagon the front left and front right segments hurt when i walk and ache when im not. Recently its been acting up, and i cant think of any reason why apart from daily walking and normal excersise. i have a friend who has what she calls either shin splints or shin splits, she can be hard to understand sometimes as her first language is not English. I first noticed it acting up again a few years ago when i was undergoing Police academy training. it would be the same every day and got to a point where i would have to sit out PT every once in a blue moon. after i graduated and wasnt as active as id like, it seemed to go away. now i do have flat feet but ive never really asked anyone what all these terms mean. So thats the story, hope somebody out there has some insights.

Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby would dominate the game as far as I am concerned. the amount of speed alone on that side is just staggering, Orr Gretzky and Lemieux in their prime and throw Crosby into the mix, they would pretty much destory anyone in 4 v 4....hell even 4 v 5.

Knee pain? popping knee cap?

The outside of my left knee started hurting last summer it's hard to walk up or down stairs or step over the baby gates in my house if I get down on the floor it hurts like crazy to get back up but it comes and goes the past three days have been the worst it's been. If it's touched there's a spot about the size of my finger tip that hurts the worst it hurts around it to but that one spot is awful if it gets touched. I can also hear and feel some popping when I bend it quickly. Any advice?

Help catching my rat ?

I lost my rat two weeks ago she jumped out of my hands and has been missing since I searched and searched but no rat could be found. I gave her up as dead but I have just seen her and heard her pulled room apart but again gone completely my other rats are getting all excited so I think she is around. I guess I'd finally get some use out of the security system. I would hit the panic on on it and the cops would be on their way immediately. It would take a while to get through my front door which would give me plenty of time to grab my rifle and point it out of an upstairs window.

I have a question about belly on piercings?!?

I got my belly on pierced 4 days ago, and it's still really sore. Is this normal? The piercer told me to use rubbing alcohol with q-tip on my barbells to clean it, and then use a little Neosporin. I've looked on other websites and they've said to use saline and sea salt? I asked my piercer about this and he said all that will make it do is "scab". Which is the best way to go? I really don't want it to get infected, and I want it to heal quickly. He told me it would take about 9 days to heal. Is it safe to swim after that? thanks! :D

Seperating 2 small trees?

Today I was looking at an overgrown area of my yard, removing small junky trees. Strangely, I found two small trees (About 3-4 feet tall): A safras and a magnolia. They are about a centimeter apart. I would like to keep both of them, but this area is already occupied by a poplar and several holly bushes, right next to a fence. This fall when I move them, How should I seperate them safely? And also what kinds of light do they want? Where they are now is very shady.Any tips for keeping them healthy after moving?

Home bleaching kit?

Hello I have a really dark in relation to the rest of my body and it bothers me. Recently I purchased a home bleaching kit, I would like to know if there is anyone out there with some experience who could give me some tips on the process. I tried a bit of it on that bit of flesh between my tummy and crotch and it really burned and left this weird mark, but the lady I bought it from said it will go away after a while as my body only needs to become used to the chemicals.

Bad razor burn on bikini line. Help?

I shave my bikini line before I go out in the boat or to the pool, and I use lots of shaving cream and warm water. But no matter what I do, I always end up with red bumps all over the place. They are really noticable and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I use Bikini Zone medicated gell every time I shave there, but that doesnt really help that much. Do you know of any inexpensive treatments I could buy, or any tips on how to avoid this razor burn? Thank you in advance. (:

A lot of girls are tempted to do this, but it is really not healthy and in the long run, won't work. And, don't cut out any one food group--this doesn't work either. Drink a lot of water. I'm overweight at the moment and Football conditioning has just begun. So, I'm doing that. I'm just curious as to what else I could do to get fit and look better. I think my life would take a huge positive turn if I just looked better. Me and my boyfriend have been friends for over two years now. On the weekend of the 21st back in May, he asked me to be his girlfriend because he had a HUGE crush on me. I THOUGHT I had feelings for him as well. I was excited everyday to see him. But since we've become girlfriend/boyfriend its different. Before we became a "couple" we were like bestfriends. Now, i feel like i'm closer to him but at the same time, father from him. The problem is, he loves me, but i don't have that strong of feelings for him. Truth is, I have just realized that I am inlove with one of my other bestfriends. I want to break up with my boyfriend because I don't think its fair to him, to have a girlfriend who is inlove with someone else. But how do I let him down gently. I definately want to stay close friends with him because he is a nice person, and i do like him and care about it. I DONT WANNA HURT HIM! That's why i'm asking this question! I don't know how to tell him that we should break up, without killing him because he is like... head over heals. Another issue with our relationship is he can be kind of annoying...
