My nose stud is sinking?? Is it infected?

You need to go back to wherever you got your nose pierced and ask them what is wrong with it. I had a 18G nose stud and it was always against my nose, but that's how they are supposed to be. I now have a 16G nose ring. I think your best bet is to go back to the professional and tell them what you think is going on.
