Hi-If you like him and he likes you take him. It's not like you are making a lifelong commitment and a few years from now when both of you are older that couple of years age difference won't matter. But don't make the same mistake I did 45 years ago. My first prom I wanted to go with this certain boy, but he did not ask me and back then girls did not ask boys, we just hinted and hoped and waited. But another boy did ask and I told him ok. Mom got me a beautiful dress and shoes. Then 2 days before prom the "certain" boy did ask me. I quickly said ok and called the other boy and told him I could not go with him. When my Mom found out-guess what. I got a big lecture about "promises" and "rudeness" and the dress and shoes went back to the store and I stayed home. Mom would not let me go with either one. So if you do ask him-stick to it.
