F-250 Gas or Diesel Truck?

I am looking into getting a Used F-250/F-350 lifted Truck. I am getting it more for want than need, I like these trucks alot and have always wanted a lifted jacked up truck. I won't be doing a lot of towing, I have jet skis but rarely will need to tow them. I don't really plan on needing to tow stuff all too often. So would it be smarter for me to get Gas truck or Diesel truck? Also, taking into consideration gas/diesel prices, with diesel now being more expensive compared to regular unleaded.
